Why I love Sarah Palin

1) She's a wife and mother who cares about her family
2) Not afraid of her femininity and honoring her husband
3) Strong charisma
4) Dynamic speaker
5) Clear with the facts
6) Funny
7) A great role model for younger women
8) Reminiscent of Margaret Thatcher (from my knowledge of Thatcher)
9) The future of the Republican Party (a party I'm able to support with passion)
10) Not afraid to burn the competition

For more on the Margaret Thatcher comparison check out the two following articles from the Wall Street Journal:

Obama is the Anti-Thatcher

She is down to earth, personable, and doesn't have that political feel to her. She is straight forward and fearless. Palin is articulate, debonair, and graceful while telling it like is and doesn't pull punches. I also agree with amish!

Ok, for a real opinion..

McCain to me is pretty central, which is Ok for appealing to the most people however he doesn't touch the conservative roots that I would like. But with Palin, she really touches the core of what I would like to see. She has experience (with 80% approval rating). She believes in fighting corruption (not Democratic Corruption, but Republican). And it seems she appreciates the basic freedoms that make us human and American. She is a NRA life member, likes to shoot, fish and hunt. So before I would vote McCain just cause he is much better than Obama (who scares the crap out of me and my freedoms). But now with Palin, a more conservative person, on the ticket, I can definitely put my vote behind them.

In general, I think the media has been unfairly critical of her. She is being grilled as if she is running for president. The Charley Gibson interview is a great example of media basis.

One thing that bugs me is that she is a woman a heartbeat away from the oval office... I was critical of Hillary cause I don't think a woman should be in a leadership role like that (and she scares the crap out of me too). So it would be pretty hypocritical of me if I didn't have the same reservations towards someone I am for. But I think McCain is good for another 4 years, so that shouldn't be an issue.

And one thing that no one has talked about, that I've heard, is balancing being a mom and her work life. I read that after her last kid she had, she was back to work 3 days after giving birth. Most mom's I know can't stand to be away from their kids, especially right after birth. So it seems like she is putting worth before family, which I don't think is a good order. However, some people are called to make personal sacrifices to serve a higher purpose. So we'll see what she can do.

oh, and she is still hot.
